In my last blog post I talked about my visit to the RHS Tatton Park flower show earlier in the summer. “Calm in Chaos” was a beautiful garden by Bowles & Wyer and I have chosen it to be the inspiration for my newest room scheme. Their information leaflet says the idea of the garden was to "alleviate the stresses associated with living in an urban environment".
My scheme is for a garden room, allowing you to enjoy your garden whatever the weather, giving you a space to relax and connect to nature any time of year. This room is a bright space with lots of windows, looking out onto an outdoor area. This design would work equally well to bring the outside in if you only have a small area like a patio, but also to link the indoor space out to a larger garden. I have chosen a calming colour pallet of greens, deep purple and pale grey. Wood features in the garden design but for my room I have chosen to use bamboo adding interesting natural patterns and colours to the final design.

Would love to know what you think!
